FAQs – Investor-Ready Accounts

What does "investor-ready accounts" mean?

It means your books are reconciled and up to date, your statutory filings are current, and you have management accounts, a forecast and key metrics that an investor can rely on during due diligence.

How long does it take to get investor-ready?

For a company with up-to-date bookkeeping, usually a few weeks. If records need catching up, it can take longer, so start well before you begin pitching.

Do you build financial models?

Yes. We build three-year models with monthly detail for the first year or two, or review and strengthen a model you have already built.

Which metrics will investors ask for?

It depends on the business, but commonly revenue growth, gross margin, burn rate, runway and, for SaaS, MRR/ARR, churn, CAC and LTV.

Can you help during due diligence?

Yes. We prepare the finance and tax sections of the data room and answer the investor’s questions alongside you.

Do I need audited accounts to raise investment?

Most small companies are exempt from audit and early-stage investors rarely require one. Some larger investors or later rounds may ask for an audit or a review; we can advise.

Can you also handle SEIS/EIS and EMI?

Yes. We prepare SEIS/EIS advance assurance applications and set up EMI share option schemes.

How much does it cost?

It depends on the state of your records and the size of the round. We quote a fixed fee after a free health-check call. Contact us.
